Pre and Post Care

Pre and Post Care Instructions for PRP Hair Loss Treatment

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a treatment for hair loss that involves drawing a patient's blood, processing it to separate the enriched cells, and then injecting it into the scalp. The enriched cells contain essential proteins that help stimulate natural hair growth. However, the quality of platelet-rich plasma can vary naturally, which means that the results of the treatment may also vary between individuals. Some patients may require multiple sessions to achieve their desired outcome.

Preparing for your
PRP hair restoration treatment involves several important steps to ensure optimal results and a smooth recovery. These instructions are designed to help you get ready for your procedure and maximize the benefits of PRP therapy. By following these guidelines, you can help minimize potential risks and enhance the effectiveness of your treatment. It's essential to discuss any questions or concerns with your healthcare provider and adhere to these instructions to achieve the best possible outcome from your PRP hair restoration experience.

    • If you can, avoid or minimize smoking before your procedure as it affects the healing process.
    • You can continue using other hair loss treatments such as laser treatment, minoxidil, or hormone-blocking tablets before your procedure. If you're unsure whether you should be stopping a medication, please ask.
    • You can color your hair up to 7 days before the procedure.
